If we compare the trajectory of flu/respiratory diseases in 2019/2020 with 2017/2018 we find two similar curves.
Lockdown does not appear to have slowed the number of flu respiratory deaths. Why should we believe that it reduced the number of Covid deaths?

To get the best indication of the trend in positive Covid infections, Pillar 1 tests are probably the most reliable and have been conducted in relatively steady numbers. Based on this, the positive Covid tests are disappearing off the radar.
